Involving young people in public life at the local level in BiH

AEOBiH implementing the project "Involving young people in public life at the local level in BiH" from 01 January 2015 to 31 December 2015, thanks to funds from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

"The involvement of young people in public life at the local level in BiH" is an educational project that aims to increase youth participation in public life at the local level and contribute to the functionality of the local authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina based on the active participation of young citizens. From our experience we know that the transformation of the company long-term and that starts with the civic education of young generations. They can quickly become agents of change. It is necessary that young people learn how they can make changes and to become interested in developments in public life at the local level. Operation will take place through attractive form of simulation sessions of municipal councils combined with practical examples where students in teams preparing strategies at the municipal level, working in cooperation with the real representatives of their communities and to interactively learn how to solve problems in the community.

Implementation of this project is carried out in 16 secondary schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
