The program to improve the implementation of electoral law in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Association of Election Officials in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AEOBiH), implemented the project "Programme to improve the implementation of electoral law in Bosnia and Herzegovina" in the period of October 2009 - November 2010.

The project aimed at improving the implementation of the Law on Conflict of Interest and the Law on political party financing through training those to which these laws are directly related, as well as by raising public and media awareness of the law and the modalities of their application.

This project is being implemented in accordance with an agreement with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and thanks to the funds the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Total is to be held 32 training sessions for elected officials at the municipal, cantonal, federal and state level, as well as 8 trainings for representatives of political parties, non-governmental organizations and the media, which was attended by 1,003 representatives.

During the implementation of the project was made and brochures with comments on the provisions of the above laws and their implementation based on the experience of the Central Election Commission (CEC BiH) and proposals by the trainees.
