Money and elections in Serbia

Association of Election Officials in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AEOBiH) has implemented a project entitled "Money and Elections" in Serbia in the period from November 2006 through July 2007.

This project aimed to encourage regional cooperation and exchange of best practices in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to more effectively address the common challenges of political corruption.

AEOBiH in cooperation with the Central Election Commission and CeSID from Serbia work on raising public awareness on issues of political financing promoting procedural mechanisms that support effective implementation of the Law on financing political parties based on the experience of Bosnia and Herzegovina, working with the media and non-governmental organizations. During the project, there were 2 training sessions for 48 representatives of NGOs and the media and distributed 500 brochures on the financing of political parties and their reporting.

This project is implemented thanks to the funds of the Balkan Trust for Democracy's.
