Young people and politics

Association of Election Officials in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AEOBiH) implemented a project entitled "Youth and Politics" in the period from May to September 2007.

The main activities of this project were organizing meetings of young people in Banja Luka, Sarajevo and Mostar, with the newly elected representatives in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, RS National Assembly and the Cantonal Assembly in Mostar. About 300 young people from Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Mostar had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the state, entity and cantonal level and learn more about engagement in politics and the work of the three levels of government.

In addition, brief information about the legislative procedures for all three levels of government represented. In this way, young people are educated about the procedures of adopting laws, changes and amendments.

This project is implemented thanks to the funds the International Republican Institute (IRI).
