Involving young people in public life at the local level in BiH
AEOBiH implements the project „Involving young people in public affairs at the local level in Bosnia and Herzegovina” in the period from April to October 2017 thanks to the funds from the Embassy of Czech Republic in BiH. Involving young people in public affairs at the local level in Bosnia and Herzegovina is educational project with overall aim to contribute to a functional government in Bosnia and Herzegovina based on the active participation of citizens. From our experience we know that the transformation of the society is a long-term matter and it begins with civic education of young generation. They soon may become active agents of change. It is necessary to introduce them possibilities how they can make a difference, so that young people will become interested in public affairs at the local level. Attractive form of simulation game here combines with a very practical content where students in teams prepare a strategy at the level of municipalities, work in cooperation with the real representatives of their community and interactive way learn how to solve community problems. Implementation of this project is being done in 9 secondary schools all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
